About the founder:
Hello! I’m Kirsten, owner and creator of Fab.you.lous Event Design. I was born and raised in the Twin Cities and graduated from the University of Minnesota with a biology degree. My desire to understand the world of biology has made me very detail oriented but left me looking for different creative outlets. While I am a true science nerd, I grew up dancing, drawing, creating, and planning. My love of creative expression is evident in countless parts of my life from decorating a home, to teaching and coaching dance, to my event designs. The excitement of helping friends plan their weddings inspired me to put my inventive spirit to work for other people.
That enthusiasm, coupled with my attention to detail and my experience organizing successful fundraising and community events, has put Fab.you.lous Event Design in motion. Being expressive through creativity as well as helping other people have always been passions of mine and I've found a job that allows me to do both. And I LOVE this job! I love the opportunity to get to know couples as well as their families and experience all they go through as they prepare for the biggest day of their lives.
