If you’re not busy Saturday and in the Northwest Suburbs (or just want to take a drive) you should come visit the I Do Redo Sale and Bridal Expo at the Maple Grove Community Center. It’s got a little something for everyone in any stage of planning. For the thrifty shoppers, there will be a consignment sale of gently used wedding decor, design items, and some wedding attire. For those looking to book vendors, you can find everything from planners (me! come see me!), photographers, and florists to bridal yoga training, marriage counselors, a local rep for The Knot, and anything else you can imagine. There are only two vendors per category so you can spend some time talking with each of them and most of the time at bridal fairs you can get discounts on vendors (hint, hint). It’s $5 at the door or if you know one of the vendors going, check to see if they have free passes (I have a few left, email me if you’re interested). I’ve never done a bridal fair/expo before so I’m not sure what I’ve gotten myself into, but I’m excited to try it out. Hope to see you there!

I drew a couple out of a hat (literally) and the winner of this year’s free coordination services are Kristen and Randy! I’m very excited to be working with them and their vendors this September! Congrats, guys!

I’m so excited to say it’s fab.you.lous event design’s 2nd birthday! As promised, I’ve brought back the birthday special and the drawing for one lucky 2010 couple to win FREE coordination services! It’s my very small way of saying THANK YOU to my wonderful clients for allowing me to work with them.

I’m giving this Twitter thing a shot, so look up FabEventDesign on Twitter and follow me! I don’t know if it will stick or not, but I’m at least enjoying following other planners, photographers, and musicians.
It’s FollowMe Friday, which means you share your favorite businesses to follow. Since I’m new, I’m not following very many people so I’ll say follow me!

In other news, I’m so excited for K + M’s wedding tomorrow. I can’t believe it’s June 27th already! Not only has K been crazy busy moving and finishing up for the wedding, she just finished her Pharm.D at and accelerated program in Arizona and landing herself a residency at a prestigious healthcare facility. Can you say super woman?!
Happy Tweeting and Happy Friday!

Going with the family theme… I wanted to show off my sister and Dan’s engagment pictures. I have yet to meet the Spencer Combs, but Heather and Dan have done nothing but rave about him! What I admire about Spencer’s style is that each couple is photographed so differently; like he gets each of their own styles and shoots them in a way that is as individual as each couple is. Not only can he read each couple, his style of photography is incredible. I’m thrilled they chose to work with him!
Be prepared for all the hotness… I still can’t believe my little sister is getting married!

What I love most about these two is how much they genuinely adore each other. I cannot wait for the wedding.
