August 15th and 16th were very busy! I coordinated Crystal and Jamie’s 8.15.08 wedding at the Wilds Golf Club in Prior Lake, but sadly I don’t have any pictures of that to share. I was lucky enough to coordinate Andrea and Damian’s 8.16.08 wedding and I’m happy to report I’ve got pictures!
The happy couple’s colors were red, black, and silver.
I see a lot of cute ring bearers, but Tyler takes the cake. Even when he wasn’t making silly faces! He took his job very seriously!

A moment during the ceremony in the Fort Snelling Memorial Chapel. They are lucky enough to be close friends with the very talented musicians of Duo Arco, who beautifully played the list of romantic movie songs that Andrea and Damian had selected for their ceremony.
Andrea did a fantastic job carrying her theme throughout the decor without overdoing it. Each table had a different picture of an old movie poster and simple glasses with floating candles and stones. The candy buffet was a huge hit with the movie theater candies and people made sure they left with goodies for the ride home.
Drive safe everyone! It’s not over yet. According to the weather people we’re in for a couple more storms before Friday… ish.
Just a heads up that [ fab.you.lous event design ] is going to be celebrating it’s 1st birthday in January! Make sure you keep up with the blog to see what I have in store to celebrate.

How cute are these hippos?
{ i will probably refrain from eating celebratory cake as i’m sure i’ll make yet another lame attempt at a new years resolution to lose weight. so perhaps a celebratory bottle of water or salad? }
I’m typing this on my Blackberry so I hope this turns out ok!
I just found out they have added my Wedding Coordination Package to the silent auction at the Nick Reamer Cancer Benefit. It is a $600 value for you to bid on as you wish! And bid high because all the proceeds go directly to the Nick Reamer Cancer Fund.
Get yourself to Peace Lutheran Church in Coon Rapids today from 12 to 3 today! Check out the post from yesterday for more details. See you there!
I have a tiny favor to ask…
The Reamers are long time friends of my family. My mom and Mrs. Reamer go way back to middle school and they’ve lived on the opposite side of the block from my parents since we were in early elementary school. Their son, Nick, has been fighting an aggressive form of Osteosarcoma (bone cancer) for going on 3 years now. Nick was diagnosed his junior year of high school and has been dealing with treatments and doctors ever since. He has undergone numerous treatments, found remission, and has recently relapsed. Nick graduated from high school this past spring and was looking forward to taking some college courses, but with the relapse he is unable to go to school, let alone work with all his chemo treatments. His parents are doing all they can, but you can imagine the medical bills piling up with trips and extended stays in Boston and Houston to seek special treatment for his cancer.
Tomorrow there will be a spaghetti dinner and silent auction at Peace Lutheran Church in Coon Rapids. If you’re in the area and have time, please help support Nick this holiday season.
